A word from one of our successful teachers...
Choosing this partnership meant that I was committing to a location and schools that were right for me. Across my training year, I had the opportunity to work within and experience the range of different schools and children from all walks of life. Having visited many of the settings throughout the year, I have learnt so much: a variety of things I could put into my own practice; how to develop good relationships with children, parents and staff; and about what type of school I wanted to apply to. The partnership schools advertised their upcoming job opportunities to us and when I secured my job at my placement school, Westerton Primary, I could utilise all of the relationships I had built to help me settle in to my new role quickly. This meant I could best support my children going into my ECT year.

About the Partnership
The Morley Exceed Partnership is ever-expanding and is, at the moment, a partnership of ten fantastic primary schools across West Yorkshire. Each partnership school is fully committed to the journey of every individual SCITT Teacher in their training year and beyond. Our course tutors come from schools across the partnership and are experts in their respective fields.

We are proud to have developed close, supportive working relationships across our partnership schools so that we can provide the best school experiences for our SCITT Teachers.
Where We Are
Westerton Primary Academy can be found in Tingley (Leeds) and the other partnership schools are situated nearby, across Morley, Ardsley, Tingley and surrounding areas. We are also linked, through Exceed SCITT, to schools in Bradford. Our range of schools enable us to offer real diversity, providing a variety of settings for our trainees. The large majority of our training days take place in the schools within the partnership.
Our Accredited Provider
In delivering our School Direct programme, the Morley Exceed Partnership will be working in collaboration with Exceed SCITT and Exceed Teaching School Hub. This will be a fully school-led route into teaching and all the training will be provided by Senior Leaders from across the Partnership of schools. We are focusing on training a small group of teachers at each Partnership school to ensure that the training is bespoke and personalised to meet the needs of each individual trainee teacher. That is why we have chosen to work with Exceed SCITT as our Accredited Provider.
Exceed SCITT is an Ofsted Outstanding provider and our collaboration allows us to award QTS status to our successful SCITT Teachers.
